A special video of Caoimhe, who has both Cerebral Palsy and Spina Bifia, driving herself down the aisle as a bridesmaid for a family wedding. Caoimhe is using a Smile Smart System powerchair from Smile Smart Technology and is driving herself along using a single hand activated button switch. The temporary tracking that her powerchair is using to navigate was put down for the occasion and is helpfully versatile in temporary situations like this.
Caoimhe put in lots of extra switching skills practice in readiness for this big day and we are ever so grateful to Caoimhe and her mother Katie, who both look beautiful in their bridesmaid dresses, for sharing this wonderful moment with us. Not a dry eye in the office when we watched it. A magical moment.
